The 30-Minute Content Plan: How to Create March Content Today

Feb 25, 2026

You're posting on social media when you remember to. Usually at random times with random thoughts.

There's a better way to handle content that takes 30 minutes once per month.

The Problem with Posting "When Inspired"

Inspiration doesn't show up on schedule. You post three times one week, then nothing for two weeks.

Your audience forgets you exist. Algorithms penalize inconsistency. You stress about what to post every time you open social media.

The 30-Minute Solution

Spend 30 minutes creating your entire month of content in advance.

You'll know what to post every day. You'll batch similar content together. You'll actually show up consistently.

The March Content Plan (Create This Today)

Grab a document or spreadsheet. You're going to map out 31 days of content right now.

Theme your weeks: Week 1 (March 3-9): Market updates and local insights Week 2 (March 10-16): Client success and testimonials Week 3 (March 17-23): Spring market preparation and tips Week 4 (March 24-30): Behind-the-scenes and personal connection

Week 1 Content (March 3-9)

Monday: Market stat from your area with context Tuesday: Neighborhood spotlight Wednesday: Interest rate update or economic news Thursday: "What's happening in [your city]" overview Friday: Weekend open house preview or local event Saturday: Market myth busting or FAQ Sunday: Rest day or inspirational quote

Week 2 Content (March 10-16)

Monday: Client testimonial or review Tuesday: Before/after home transformation (with permission) Wednesday: Success story from a recent closing Thursday: Client interview or Q&A snippet Friday: "This week's wins" recap Saturday: Referral appreciation post Sunday: Rest day

Week 3 Content (March 17-23)

Monday: Spring market timeline and what to expect Tuesday: Home prep tips for sellers Wednesday: Buyer strategy for spring market Thursday: "Questions I'm hearing this week" Friday: Open house tips or buyer guidance Saturday: Quick market update for spring Sunday: Rest day

Week 4 Content (March 24-30)

Monday: Day-in-the-life content Tuesday: "Why I love what I do" story Wednesday: Team introduction or office tour Thursday: Local business spotlight or community involvement Friday: Month recap and looking to April Saturday: Personal interest or hobby content Sunday: Rest day

Creating Content in Batches

Once you have your plan, batch create everything:

Market content (2 hours one morning): Pull stats, write captions, create graphics Client content (1 hour): Request testimonials, get permission for stories, write posts Educational content (1 hour): Answer common questions, create tip lists Personal content (30 minutes): Take photos, write authentic stories

4.5 hours one time creates 31 days of content.

The Posting Schedule

Most agents should post 5-6 times per week. Monday through Saturday works well.

Best posting times (based on platform): Instagram: 8-9am or 7-9pm Facebook: 9am or 12-1pm
LinkedIn: 8-9am or 12-1pm

Schedule posts using native platform tools or your CRM's social media scheduler.

Content Types That Work

Educational posts (market updates, tips, how-tos) Personal posts (day-in-life, behind-scenes, community) Social proof (testimonials, success stories, reviews) Engagement posts (questions, polls, local events)

Rotate through these four types throughout your month.

The Three-Sentence Formula

Most agents write too much for social media. Three sentences is plenty:

Sentence 1: Hook or attention grabber Sentence 2: Main point or value Sentence 3: Call to action or conversation starter

Example: "March market stats just dropped for our area. Inventory is up 12% from last month but down 8% from last year. What are you seeing in your neighborhood?"

What Not to Post

Zillow screenshots (brands them, not you) MLS photos without context (looks like spam) Every single listing (focus on value, not volume) Generic motivation quotes (unless it's truly personal) Anything you wouldn't say in person

The Visual Strategy

You don't need professional photos for every post. Mix it up:

Phone photos of you working Screen captures of market data Client permission photos of homes Graphics with text overlays Personal photos that show your personality

Consistency matters more than perfection.

Setting Up for Success

Create a content folder on your phone for real-time captures Use a simple graphic tool for text overlays Keep a running list of content ideas in your notes app Schedule content at the beginning of each week Review performance monthly and adjust

The Engagement Strategy

Post your content, then engage with comments for 15 minutes.

Respond to every comment within 24 hours.

Spend 10-15 minutes per day engaging with others' content in your market.

Social media is social. It's not a billboard.

Measuring What Matters

Track these monthly:

Follower growth (are you gaining followers?) Engagement rate (are people interacting with your posts?) DM conversations (are people reaching out?) Actual leads or referrals from social (did it generate business?)

Don't obsess over likes. Focus on conversations and connections.

The 30-Minute Monthly Routine

Last week of each month: Minutes 1-10: Review last month's performance, note what worked Minutes 11-20: Theme next month's weeks and map out daily topics Minutes 21-30: Schedule any batch content creation time needed

Then spend 4-5 hours that month creating the content based on your plan.

Your March Content Assignment

Stop reading. Open a blank document.

Write out March 3-31 dates. Assign a topic to each day based on the weekly themes above.

Spend the next 2 hours creating your first week of March content.

Schedule it for March 3-9.

Repeat next week for March 10-16.

By month end, you'll have a system that works.

The Real Benefit

You stop stressing about what to post. You show up consistently. Your audience sees you regularly.

Consistency beats perfection every time.

30 minutes of planning saves you hours of "what should I post today" panic.

Plan March today. Start the habit now.
